Topic: Your latest PS3 Purchase

So after really not liking Remember Me for the first few hours, it’s really grown on me to be fair. On top of the fantastic art design and score, the combat is actually pretty decent. I’ve never been one for Freeform (Arkham) combat as it always seemed a bit too simple but this adds to the formula with combo-building, where you embed specific combat aids within the combo as you choose and then using and executing the right combo at the right time can be pivotal… at least on the harder difficulty anyway.

A real nice surprise this.

Yeah man same. Arkham games were fine back in the day but after a while I couldn’t come back to them both for what you mentioned and the lack of decent gameplay feedback loop. I’m actually ok with simple combat if it means at least some potential depth but Arkham’s specific system of magnetizing you to your nearest foe plus all the scripted combos absolutely saws the games chance for any kind of depth.

Glad you found the game surprisingly fun now uhhh… what was it called? Can’t Remember, hope you help Me.

As I mentioned on a separate thread i picked up a couple of second hand ps3 games this morning at my local CeX (Dragon Age Origins and Prince of Persia). Well when looking a bit deeper into the 7th gen Prince of Persia games I found out about The Forgotten Sands too, so just ordered myself a copy.

@colonelkilgore I wonder who will get to their copy of Dragon Age: Origins first. I originally played it on Xbox, but bought it for the PS3 several months ago and don't know when I'll actually play it.

@KilloWertz oh I’d put money on it being you mate… I don’t know if I’ll ever get to replay it tbh (I originally played it on 360 too).

@colonelkilgore forgotten sands is another I’ve… forgotten about (yeah I’m really firing in all cylinders), I believe I have it via backwards compatibility on Xbox.
