@Jimmer-jammer I’ve actually had the original in my backlog for years and will want to play that one first but the sale price on the sequel made it a no brainer
@colonelkilgore The nice thing is that they’re both brilliant! The sequel is a real evolution of the first one (seriously, Croteam knocked it out of the park), building on everything it did both mechanically and narratively, so playing the first should only serve to bolster you’re experience with the second. I know it’s not your typical cup of tea so I’m curious to hear what you make of them.

@Jimmer-jammer sounds great, I might actually play the first one while I’m recovering from shoulder surgery next month (as long as it’s not too demanding), so I’ll be sure to tag you if I do 👍
@colonelkilgore Nice I've yet to pick up TP2 but the first one is one of my favourite games, a real gem and this one looks even better.
I keep hoping that they will announce VR support, I know I sound like a broken record by now but the PC crowd have said it is great in VR but I think it was a mod rather than anything official.
Enjoy both games and they (the first one at least) aren't too demanding on dexterity plus I can't remember any timed bits but I could be wrong and tbh you can just ask the nurse to help with those bits.
@colonelkilgore Little late to the party here, but while none of the JRPG's you mentioned are going to stress your recovery period, Dragon Quest and Ni No Kuni are traditional in the extreme, and I mean that in the best way possible. Reactions are the last thing you'll need. A little forethought, preparation and strategising, and you'll be well on your way. You're right in my wheelhouse with these! Anything I can play with one hand while horizontal on the settee. 😅
@Malaise hey, you’d only be late to this party if I’d had the surgery, recovered and already gone back to work so no worries. And yeah what you’ve pointed out there is exactly what I’m after tbh. Food for thought for sure, cheers buddy
So following last nights Summer Gamefest I’ve been wanting to pre-order the physical Alan Wake 2 and the physical code 😉 for Black Myth Wukong but unable to find a retailer with open pre-orders, am I a bit premature or are there only specific retailers where these are available?
Not sure if this counts but I bought the collector’s edition or Forbidden West with the steel book for ps4!! It was a great find!!
Basically, one of our local electronic stores in Kuwait had a copy lying around behind a locked glass wall, I asked if it I could purchase it and the answer was yes! What a great find, it was sitting there for months so I thought, why the heck not? Probably one of the last copies remaining. I’m very happy about it!!

Despite having relatively limited time for gaming, and a nice backlog like everyone else, I'm a sucker for time-sink strategy and management games. On that, I picked up Company of Heroes 3 and Planet Zoo.
so i got street fighter six deluxe edition because of that beautiful sale and the summer game fest thing convinced me (and i had enough money finally lmao). ive played a little, i made my avatar and started the world tour. just curious, what IS that first thinh i should do in this very overwhelming game? (me does not have online)

I bought a couple of games actually. I picked up Lords of Exile. It’s a Castlevania-like — pixel graphics and all. It’s pretty solid. I also purchased System Shock, from Nightdive. I haven’t played it thoroughly yet. I attempted to yesterday but came to the conclusion I wasn’t in the right mindset for an immersive sim just yet, so it’s going to the backlog for now.
