The new free-to-play Skate game from EA is still in pre-pre-alpha, which means it’s many years away from release. But developer Full Circle has been quite open about the release’s development, inviting fans to playtest the skateboarding sim since its inception. And that process will continue on consoles later this year.
A trailer featuring fictional creative accounting organisation M-Corp concluded with a fresh clip of gameplay, which once again highlighted the game’s online focus and emphasis on creativity. For those who haven’t been keeping track, the title will essentially allow you to place objects in the world, and you’ll then be able to compete with others in real-time to find the best lines.

I am happy they do it. And I need the genre to be alive, to be alive myself.
That said, I never got into the Skate series because I was so used to the Tony Hawk games.
Felt like trying to learn Snowboard when Skiing for decades.
I still don't quite get the build up for skate?
What was the whole m corp for a skating game?
To top it off, the game looked pretty awful,
Skate was always the top end graphics and leaning towards realism, this trailer didn't look much better.
Free to play aswel and we are years away?
I just dont think its worth it in the end.
Riders Republic has a quite robust skate section, that game looks better than this trailer
@Bez87 No crap it the graphics are subpar, it's literally still in development. You think "pre-pre-alpha" means that this is what the final game looks like?
@HotGoomba then why show it? Why do I need to see footage of a pre pre pre alpha build of a free to play game. Pretty sure they said there is a beta this fall aswel so now we are beta testing in public a pre pre pre alpha build.
@Bez87 I guess they wanted people to try out the pre-pre-alpha so we could get a pre-pre-preview of the game before it pre-pre-launches and to see what pre-pre-features they should premove from the game to give people a chance to see what they've been pre-pre-working on.
Or at least I'm pre-pre-pretty sure that's the case.
