Yesterday’s big Xbox Showcase was stacked with software, but as is often the case with these platform presentations, a large number of the titles on display will be releasing elsewhere. This is true of at least 13 of the titles on offer, with a handful of others still awaiting clarification. Just in case you were curious, these are the games all currently confirmed to release on PS5 from yesterday’s presentation:
- Assassin’s Creed Shadows – 15th November, 2024
- Atomfall – 2025
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 – 25th October, 2024
- Clair Obscur: Expeditions 33 – 2025
- DOOM: The Dark Ages – 2025
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard – 2024
- Fallout 76: Skyline Valley – 12th June, 2024
- Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn – 18th July, 2024
- Life Is Strange: Double Exposure – 29th October, 2024
- MechaBreak – 2025
- Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – TBA
- Mixtape – 2025
- Sea of Thieves: Season 13 – 25th July, 2024
- WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers – 2025
Microsoft hasn’t confirmed which of its first-party titles it’ll port to PS5 just yet, but boss Phil Spencer did point out in an interview with IGN that it’ll be bringing more of its games to other platforms. That means, we could eventually see the likes of Fable, State of Decay 3, and South of Midnight all on Sony’s system as well – although the manufacturer’s strategy remains vague, so we’ll need to await further confirmation on that front.
In the meantime, are any of the above titles tickling your fancy? Which of these releases will you be purchasing on PS5? Let us know in the comments section below.

Probably the best PlayStation games showing we’ve had for a few years 🤣
Expeditions 33 was the standout for me, looking forward to that.
Even PS fans should watch the Xbox Showcase, after all, it was the only source of good games announced this year for PS5.
@MaikonCSGarcia nah. Plenty of great games, like Astrobot, announced.
The Xbox Showcase had more PS5 games than the last State of Play.
I wasn’t all that impressed with the games shown that were made by the Xbox Studios teams. If none of them ever made it to PlayStation, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it.
@Intr1n5ic I was immediately intrigued by it because I heard Ben Starr's voice. You can never have enough Ben Starr.
I thought it was a great showcase. Some really interesting games announced. If I could afford an Xbox I could be tempted to get one. Hopefully they can bring more people in. Having a healthy competitor is no bad thing. It can only be good for games.
@naruball Name 2 more, i dare you lol
I'm here praying for State of Decay 3 on PS5!!!
@Icey664 Not announced exactly as they've passed, but we've already had 3 excellent games this year that can only be played on PS5 currently, and of course Helldivers 2 as well.
@Ainu20 I won't lie, I had to Google who that was. I really should have known after the excellent job he did on Final Fantasy.
Pretty sure there was more than that, I counted 17/18, plus Stalker 2 is only a timed exclusive.
I think I'm most looking forward to Expedition 33 from that list.
@UltimateOtaku91 It's there, 4 down.
@Intr1n5ic Lol I was skimming through the first part of the names, I didn't know the game was called Clair Obscur.
XBOX has a rather simple strategy. They now know that Playstation is a viable platform for sales. So now they see if any of these games gets Zelda, God of War traction (reviews). If it helps boost sales of hardware or Gamepass subs, they don't need to continue with all games but only multi-player or weaker sellers or those already multi platform.
Is Life is Strange from DontNod or a different studio?
Flight sim 24 would be great
@UltimateOtaku91 I missed it as well during the showcase. I thought it might be an associated name like Sid Meier when I read it here, turns out it's a contrast between light and dark in art.
I assume the Diablo 4 DLC is also coming to PS5. That makes it at least half the 30 game announcements from the Xbox showcase coming to PlayStation, with more to likely come.
@themightyant Elder Scrolls as well.
Not going to lie, XBOX’s showcase was top tier, games after games with mix of cinematic and gameplay. PlayStation needs the competition from XBOX, because Playstation has been complacent without it so far. Hard to say, but imo we wouldn’t have got stuff like ps plus extra or premium as quickly if we didn’t have Gamepass.
@breakneck I believe it's from Deck Nine/Square Enix. Don't Nod are doing 'Lost Records: Bloom & Rage' which looks like a spiritual successor. It'll be interesting to see which is better. Hopefully both are really good
I'm quite looking forward to the new Fable.
Are any of those games coming to PSPlus at no additional cost?...most probably NOT.
That's the big difference, that's the reason these games are a big win for Xbox GamePass subscribers.
Keeping an eye on expeditions, flintlock and wuchang, they looked decent.
@Icey664 no need. Here's the post I was replying to:
"after all, it was the only source of good games announced this year for PS5"
That Xbox showcase was exceptional. I love my PS5 but I'm definitely getting an Xbox if I can't get flight sim 24 on another platform day 1.
Looking forward to Doom, I’d be looking forward to Gears of Bore 6 but The Coalition have proven to me that only Epic know how to make Gears of War games worth playing.
It was a really good show for sure. Expedition 33 is the defacto highlight of the show for me. That looks absolutely incredible! Snake Eater is also looking really really promising which makes this old MGS fan very happy! AC Shadows as well looks very good too!
As for games not confirmed for PS5 I think Perfect Dark was the clear best of the bunch. That looked really promising! Gears E-Day was my biggest disappointment though. I can't believe they are doing a pointless prequel after the cliffhanger 5 ended on.
Still overall great show. Good stuff Xbox.
2024 is fairly lean but good grief 2025 appears to be shaping up to be insane.
The only 2024 release that speaks to me is Life is Strange, although DragonAge is a wild card. Flintlock looks like it could be interesting too.
But overall, I think there’s a saturation of Souls-inspired, Bloodborne-like settings, and samurai games. Sony has missed the mark getting out any Bloodborne remake or sequel and the Ghost of Tsushima sequel because now those genres are quite saturated.
hoping for Fable on ps it looks awesome
@AllStarGamer that's the whole point of them bringing the games to Playstation, we have to pay full price but the Xbox players get them free, I really wish Sony did this to be honest, it would feel like I was being rewarded for being a lifelong fan but I'm glad I have Gamepass on PC so I don't get shafted by the PS Store prices
Really can't believe that the Xbox showcase got me so excited, only thing I liked from ours was Astrobot but I don't class that as a heavy hitting AAA title really
@simondud1: I agree with you as everyone wins.
PlayStation gamers get to play the Xbox ports by paying full price, GamePass subscribers get to play the games practically for free, and Microsoft gets all the proper revenue to keep pumping new franchises.
@naruball Ah, i see what you're saying, my bad
xbox should of been made they own Zelda games
@simondud1 Game Pass won the snow.

I couldn't care less for console superiority and all that rubbish, I still doubt Xbox would be in a better place than playstation just because of these exclusives.. but.. this showcase was miles better than what we have for the playstation, and at least they have some idea of whats coming up over the next few years. Unfortunately (apart from a few games) I have no idea where we are heading currently.. Sony should have done a little better for it's fans for sure, but I suppose with dominance they don't feel the need to.
@nedbvai definitely not getting an Xbox for one game lol but I’d be happy if they brought it over. Sounds like you are just trolling anyway though
@Monstermash40 can get the series s pretty cheap. My girl has one and honestly I can't tell the difference between that and my series x
@nedbvai right oh
Xbox had a great show still must be said playstation just doesn't have the same kind of energy or motivation it did from the glory E3 days where Shawn's goal was to dominate and destroy "welcoming all to church" as he put it. Sony ultimately is cocky and arrogant now and Its all about life service stuff now the great single player era is dying thanks to Jim and now Herman
@naruball
You were bold enough to suggest there were more games than 1, but uncooperative enough to not enumerate them and when called out you responded with arrogance. I have to congratulate this level of obstinacy👏👏👏
Let me help you: Horizon Lego game and that dress up game.
Go watch the shows if you want more than just two cute platformers.
@AllStarGamer $204 in a year for game pass ultimate is not a bargain. Ps plus was $50 a year at one point. You are still paying at the end of the day it's not free. Free is paying no subscription fees at all.
@Logonogo Especially for a flight simulator lol. He's trolling. $500 console for that. I love my ps5. Not paying $500 for an Xbox console for 1 game. Fable looks fun and perfect dark but another gears game is just burnt out.
@AllStarGamer GamePass is practically free - at $17 a month? Great thing for Playstation owners is that they can own these games, and buy them on sale for a lot less than $70 while having access to the Playstation exclusives too.
@NattyKing Game Pass subscribers can buy games if they want at a 20% discount at launch.
@AllStarGamer So many on Gamepass = unsustainable business model. And after all those billions spent on Bethesda and Activision is why Microsoft will be raising the price of Gamepass and make more games Multiplatform and sell to Playstation (which in the long run will probably lead to a Sega like outcome)
@nedbvai 🤣🙃🤣 you must be trolling. PlayStation literally sold 5 TIMES the consoles as Xbox did 1st quarter 2024. The "King" doesn't need to sell games multi-platform. Thats why you don't see Mario or God of War as Xbox games. Save this comment - and let me know how well it ages when Xbox is niche & Microsoft Games go the way Sega did 😎😏
6 months to a year after release, I'm hoping to hear that Avowed is coming. Since they announced TPP as an option, it's the first Xbox game I'm interested in. 🤞🏽
