TV rant time. I like that we get american shows here a lot sooner than we ever did before now the wait time can be just a few days or weeks. But the frustating part is mid season breaks in shows. You start to enjoy a show then it takes a few months break. Totally losing the momentum it builds up. I know this is an accepted practise in the US. But I would rather they delayed showing the program and gave it a straight run through without breaks than constantly stopping and starting.
Midseason breaks usually happen around Christmas time here in the US and go through March. My theory is cause during those times people are just to busy to watch TV at that time. So they stop the shows for a bit.

@dryrain: yeah, x files and heroes has been surprisingly good, I also hate the mid season breaks, it's pretty ridiculous. Late last year I decided to watch all of Game of Thrones and ploughed through in one week all while working full time.
I started watching Lucifer yesterday only watched 2 episodes so far but its a great series. The humour in it really makes you laugh and the casting seems to have been done really well.
Been watching the latest series of Grimm and the episode I just watched felt like it have been filmed by amateur film makers. Normally the standard is high. But this episode was poor in comparison. The story was still strong but the filming let it down.
My wife had a trial on a new tv game show as a contestant. I can't say much about it but just going today was really fun. She told me that most people attending were serial game show contestants. She lost in the trial 10-16 but winning wasn't mandatory to get on the shows.
Blue Peter were filming the BatMobile in the main area. Pretty good day to go! It drives and everything. I also saw the guy who summarises the sport for bbc news getting into a lift.
Also were we went for her quiz thingy they were filming Jeremy Kyle (white tower in the blue zone?) and asked me if I was on the show. Great.
If anyone ever visits the Lowry art is around there somewhere and there's a war museum just over a bridge too. Tours are available and I would recommend visit.

I used to live within walking distance of Salford Quays but moved before Media City was built. I like the War Museum and the architecture of the building. Lowry was an amazing man he really did art for the people and did not get the true recognition he deserved from the establishment. His drawings and paintings showed life as it was for the ordinary man/women who worked in the area.
Which Batmobile was it? Jeremy Kyle that British icon of morning TV
Earlier today I finished watching China's Forbidden City (Netflix).
It's another one of those Smithsonian Channel documentaries (though this one consists of two episodes, instead of just the one), and as usual I thought it was pretty interesting.

Just watched the first episode of season 4 Vikings. I binged watched the first 3 seasons and really enjoy the story and action, it's very violent and bloody aswell which is great. I much prefer this to GOT although I do like that too but nothing seems to happen till the last 3 episodes of every series where as in Vikings you still get alot going on throughout the series rather than in the last few episodes. So I would recommend it to any GOT fans or anybody that's interested in historical drama/action.
@dryrain: @Bad-MuthaAdebisi: Cool, the journey was only 44 minutes from my house. Dead quick run. I think I went to the blue peter garden - but I'm unsure. Its by a tram stop. There's a dogs head in it. I've got pics on my phone will try to copy and paste the batmobile in a sec.
My wifes got the go ahead and filming starts in March. Will keep you informed on how she does.

Oh yeah, yesterday I watched World War II Spy School (Netflix).
It was another one of those Smithsonian Channel documentaries, this time about Cqmp X, the first espionage training facility in North America (set up by the British, to train Americans & Canadians how to be spies during WWII). Surviving students tell their tales of their missions behind enemy lines, and explain how it eventually led to the creation of the CIA. Pretty interesting stuff.
The writing for the new series of X-files has really been of a very high standard. All my favourite episodes have always come from the original run of the series. I have 4 or 5 which hold a special pace. But that's now 6 with the 3rd episode of the new series it reminded me why I fell in love with the series in the first place.
Heroes Reborn not sure if the opening episode had a big impact on me. Well not as much as the first series did when I watched it. Looked like there was a lot going on with many different strands. Some of the new characters looked cool especially the video game lady I forget her name. Looking forward to seeing more of the original charters come back into it. Hopefully the series can grow stronger as it goes on and get more episodes.
Me & my bro watched the first episode last night, and it was like we were transported back in time to being kids.
It captured that somewhat corny, good feel vibe of the original just perfectly, and I can't wait to watch the rest of the episodes. (as a kid I actually had a crush on DJ, lol)

@RR529: I totally agree. I am up to episode 5 and I love all the refrences they make in the episodes to the original series. Of course it helps that they were able to get the original writers as well.

So this weekend I binged on all the DC Arrowverse shows and finally got caught up. I especially loved how they are slowing bringing Supergirl into the Arrowverse with little nods to the other shows. I am also curious is they are planning to bring Aquaman into the mix after mentioning Atlantis several times on Flash.

@Tasuki: I think we are a little way behind you in the UK. Supergirl hasn't returned yet after the Christmas break, Arrow and Flash only returned last week with Legends of Tomorrow starting as well. We are only up to season 2 ep11 of the Flash (tomorrow), S4 ep11 of Arrow (Weds) and S1 Ep2 of LoT - part 2 of the pilot (Thurs). We are still waiting for Supergirl to return - I believe its S1 ep09 if/when it returns...

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
After initially not enjoying The 100 I have given it a 2nd chance and I am quite enjoying it. Good to see Arrow/Flash back its been off screen for a long time. Probably after this series will watch them on bluray as the mid season breaks makes the series disjointed. Killjoys as been fun Syfy channel make some good series.
