The one thing I hate about trophies and I have yet to experience this on any other games but Lego games, but why is it when playing a two player games sometimes only player one gets a trophy even though you both do the task?
Like for example in Lego Jurassic World the Trophy you get for completing all story levels popped for my son (he was player one) but yet I didn't get it? We both did all the levels together so why didn't I? I guess for me to get it I have to play through it again. Yeah but no thanks. This is one of the instances where I say that trophies are added just to force replayability.

@Tasuki: I think some Lego trophies especially in coop are glitchy. I'm having to rerun a level in the avengers as if you play it on a save 💾 ie) you run the first 1/3 of the level save and exit and then come back, it wont pop for one player. Obviously I never knew that first time around. It actually made me shelve the game as rerunning a 40 minute atypical boring Lego level isn't my idea of fun.
@Rudy_Manchego: And this Rudy ruins games as a part time trophy collector. I don't want to view a list / guide / strategy for collecting trophies until I've played enough of a game without spoiling it. I've tanked on ffx as a major example as there's a heap of missable trophies - but I wanted to play it at my own pace, that was an error. 50 hours in and 13% trophies Your example of missing something unobvious and then looking at the trophy list and your too far gone to ever get the trophy for the rest of your life really REALLY gets my goat.
@booshy89: What are IGC games? So Transistor is a gimme then on the trophy hunt? I may pick that up as I've heard good things (and forgot about it when it was free on psplus).
I do wish there were less grindy trophies in games, the 3 games im currently playing I need 120 yellow stars in grimms tale, 100 golds in need for speed rivals and a 50% winrate over 100 games in everybody's tennis. Its so lazy and time consuming, there could easily be less levels in all of these games or less grindy trophies. That 100 game 50% service wins is horrific, I'm a neat 25 games in and having loads of fun with probably 10 or so left from completing the game...... How the hell will I ever play the remaining 65 games without wanting to throw the ps4 through the window?

@themcnoisy@booshy89 I felt Transistor was a bit of a weak spin-off of Bastion (I liked that game a lot). To each his own!
I just got the platinum on Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, as well as finishing the game. I really liked the game, but although I bought the GOTY-edition, I don't nessecarily feel the need to play through the DLC. Yes, the game is repetitive, but in the case of this game that means a repetition of great gameplay mechanics. Despite not being too much of a LOTR-fan I enjoyed the game's atmosphere way more than I though I would.
I can understand why you lot over at Push Square chose it as your #1 game of 2014. It's not on my PS4 top 5, but it's suprisingly well-made and enjoyable nonetheless.
@Kidfried: @booshy89: @themcnoisy: Transistor is a ton better than Bastion in my opinion, to the point where it's one of my favourite games of this generation and one of only a small handful I've platinumed. Aside from the setting, story, soundtrack and characters (that I thought were all more apealing than Bastions) the combat is the main reason I prefer Transistor so much.
@kyleforrester87: a WigSplitter recommend - that's usually a good game so will pick it up!

Got the platinum for Ratchet & Clank All 4 One today, also among system issues. That's #13.
Time for a break from cheevo hunting until I'm close to another platinum.
@kyleforrester87 Transistor is a game I've had my eye on since it first came around. Been wanting Bastion as well, so they'll likely be among my first PS4 games.

Got a few tonight from the free PSN game Stories. I can see me getting most of the trophies in this game just because how much you have to replay it to get every ending. It sounds like a bit but each playthrough takes about 30 mins to an hour.

I am registered here as its a great site to track Trophy progression and often a great way to find out how to complete some hidden/difficult trophies too.
Got the platinum in Gravity Rush Remastered!
I struggled with some of the challenges on vita but on the PS4 with the big screen I never had any trouble.
Really fun and straight forward trophy list (bar one maybe). Think the platinum took about 12 hours.
Bring on Gravity Rush 2! As a vita enthusiast I'm actually glad this moved on. Can't wait to zip across the world with the power of PS4 (stayed away from demo so i don't know).

Infamous first playthrough is done with most of the trophies now for the evil expert run. Eeeek. It has an 8% platinum rate, but I'm pretty sure if it wasn't a ps4 release title and released later that would be alot less.
@mrobinson91: I dont think you need to coop any of the resogun trophies for the basic plat. I think there's a couch coop one in the dlc though. Good luck mate, the finish the game on normal without a continue is the toughest.

@themcnoisy: Genuine question, but you always say you havnt got enough time to play games, yet you are happy to play the same games over and over to get the platinum? You could have enjoyed 2-3 other games in the time it takes to platinum one game. I assume it's just the desire to get the platinum really, I do get that...but overall isn't it better to play more games?! Get on Doom!!
I couldn't bring myself to play through the same game back to back. Maybe back in the day!
@kyleforrester87: It is an issue as I don't have any time, but then again its challenging myself to beat it at the toughest difficulty and its loads of fun as I've finally got the controls learnt to a high standard. To be fair if I get stuck early on I will probably quit getting the plat. I ran through the first 8% in an hour earlier so maybe If I can do it in 8-10 hours maybe within the next week I can hold my head up high and move on.
Second sons a bad example though as there is a Good and Bad run through the game, so there's 2 endings and trophies attached to both ways to play.

@themcnoisy: Ah, fair enough. Sometimes I feel like I'm selling myself short not getting more out of games (still have a few special weapons to get in FF15 and end game hunts to do, although I have purposefully left those to come back to when the game has been patched some more).
But then I get stuck into the next game on my list and forget all about it!
I just got the platinum for Steins;Gate. Working towards the platinum for Zero Time Dilemma.
I was going to get the platinum in Rise of the Tomb Raider, but I got bored looking for a survival cache I couldn't find, and the though of having to play all the various levels again in Expedition Mode wasn't very appealing to me given that I got another five games for Christmas, as well as all the ones I picked up in the January Sale on PSN, and the one I've got to review. Moved on to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Might go back to platinum Tomb Raider later. Probably won't.
I need a couple more in Final Fantasy XV. I did get the Platinum in Watch Dogs 2. But honestly my problem with Platinum Trophies in general is that they usually end up making you hate the game. There's always one or two Trophies that are just out of reach, and I just don't have the patience anymore. Drives me up the wall!
