Just got my first ever Platinum Trophy, on Rocket League in particular. I've never been a 'trophy hunter' at all, but for games I play loads their great extras to keep you going.

After a concerted effort, finally managed a platinum in Bioshock for PS4. Next up, 100% the game with the DLC, then on to Bioshock 2. Really enjoyed the two playthroughs I made on this one.
Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
I'm really struggling to get the motivation to play through uncharted 4 due in part to the trophies. You need to follow a guide for the collectibles which I dislike doing but don't have the time to play games twice or thrice anymore to mop up stuff. Its so frustrating. Part of me wants to push on, then this other part of me wants to hunt the collectibles. Does anybody else suffer from this?
@Rukiafan7: What system did you plat Jak and Daxter on?

@themcnoisy I've dealt with that before, and I just usually put off 100% completion if I just want to enjoy the game. I usually do this with RPGs, but I've put off Uncharted 3 before due to the treasures and difficulty. If you just want to play it, feel free to put off that Platinum until later.

Oh yes. This is me constantly. I hate Naughty Dog trophies because of it too. I just more or less ignore the trophy list for their games, it's the only way to keep it fun.
I myself am busy trying to earn the platinum for Syndicate. It's a great trophy list, I must say. No longer do they provide trophies for full synchronization and such, but for those who want to take it a bit further (me) the game has in-game rewards. It's a very rewarding game, although you level a bit too fast.

@themcnoisy: I don't remember but I want to say like 8 or 9. I know 400 may not seem alot to most but for me I am happy. Honestly I dont go actively seeking trophies many because of how many games I have for various systems. So while I may have a small amount each one is nice to me due to that fact.

Gameplay (mechanics) is really fun but gets repetitive. Best suited to play in short bursts especially if you're planning to farm materials for the 100% gallery trophy I feel. Hope they add more variety in terms of missions if they're planning to do a sequel.
After a while of disc problems, I finally platinumed Uncharted 3. That's #12 for me.
Out of the Uncharted platinums I have so far, 3 is the hardest for me. The ship graveyard and fire djinns can go F off. The awkward aiming doesn't help either.

I got the platinum for Ratchet & Clank. It is my favourite game of the year so far. But I'll admit I haven't played Uncharted 4 yet. The trophy list is very good for R&C too. I never finish a game twice actually, so I usually hate those 'New game +' trophies, but this game actually made me want to beat it multiple times. Sad it's already over!
I was going to go for the platinum in Valkyria Chronicles Remastered but then there was one trophy which put me off. Something to do with collecting bits of information on all of the characters and unlocking their potentials. I hate when there's one trophy that you just look at and you're like, "Nope. Can't be bothered to do that."
As someone who doesn't 'chase' trophies/achievements but do try and get them IF they meet with what I am doing (like complete a specific challenge in a mission for example), I still only have 1 platinum (Imfamous:2nd Son).
That being said I recently completed Titanfall 2 and have 95% of the Trophies - just missing the two from running the Gauntlet which would give me the Platinum too...

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

So i've been chasing the Plat in Bioshock 2 with 1 run through. One of the trophies is to get full research by using the camera to meet all the research levels for different baddies. Turns out that you only have 1 level to get the Thuggish splicers as they don't appear in the level after you get the camera. There is no way to go back in Bioshock 2 and I have nearly got to the end. Sigh...

Phew, I got it: platinum #10! Pretty proud of it too, as the challenges really felt like a chore in the end. I could still try to shoot for the DLC challenge trophies, but I don't feel like they would be worthy my time. Gravity Rush 2, however, can't come soon enough.
