Having been a PSN member since the day it launched on PS3 (in 2006?) I have finally achieved my seventh Platinum Trophy (I think the last one was for "Horizon Zero Dawn") for "Spider-Man 2". Ironically, I didn't even like the story very much but I was at a loose end on Sunday afternoon and thought I'd give it a shot. Very enjoyable endeavour in the end (spider-bot collecting aside) but still not enough to convert me into a Trophy Hunter. I got a nice (slightly creepy) congratulatory email from Sony, too - I don't remember that happening before!

Went back as I only had a couple trophies left to get. Spent hours finding feathers which was as fun as it sounds considering they don’t appear on the map, not even the ones you’ve found. Then I realised that deep inside menus, you can sort the missing feathers by district. It’s done now, that’s all I’ll say. But still a great game.

Hello all, been a while since I popped in. Congratulations to everyone who has added to their cabinets in the last year or so 😂

Popped Plat #54 over the weekend, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Decent enough list and I was almost done just by playing which was nice. Great game though I was glad it was over with by the end. I can’t imagine I’ll be playing Astrobot on release as I’m pretty platformed out

Happy gaming all 👍

@nessisonett I started this recently on PS3, and I’ve heard the feathers are a nightmare, appreciate the tip. Congratulations on getting over the line 👍

@AgentCooper
Not gonna play SpongeBob the cosmic shake then?

My latest...SpongeBob the cosmic shake.
Not bad. Fairly easy platinum, easier than the Bikini bottom one. 15 hours 3.5/10 difficulty.

I just popped the platinum trophy for Tomb Raider Legend. It was a great game.

I’m also in a nostalgic mood. I have been thinking of Sleeping Dogs a lot recently, so I looked back through my trophies and realized I’m only two trophies away from that platinum. I missed a couple of open world activities. I’m going to start a fresh play through tomorrow. Such an underrated game.

@AgentCooper Oh man, the PS3 version must be even more of a nightmare considering you can’t replay missions. Make sure to kick a guard while on the glider! Was it not still R1 to run back then too?

@CaptD Haha very unlikely, I also played Sackbboy fairly recently so my tolerance for this kind of stuff is pretty low right now. Congrats on your spongy plat sir!

@nessisonett Yes indeed, though the whole experience is surprisingly polished and a major step up from AC1. I do have the Ezio Collection but I couldn't resist playing the PS3 version as I'd like to see how the series goes over various generations.

and today I (finally) snagged platinumber 222 with Sea of Stars (PS5). Quite a journey though enjoyable for the most part. Main game @30hours. Post game, collectables and miscellaneous trophies @12hours and then NG+ to beat some bosses for final trophy @5hours so somewhere around the 50hour Mark in total. Not really difficult at any point. Glad I played it but glad it's done with as well.

Decided to buy an indie game I'd never heard of on a whim. Pretty sure it was made by one guy. It's definitely rough around the edges, but it mixes elements of the Shenmue and Like a Dragon games, so it made it easy for me to overlook it's flaws.

AKA the one where they start adding just too much padding to the platinum. Look, I don’t mind the Borgia flags/feathers, just your standard collectible (which have icons this time round). I don’t even mind the 100% sync for the main missions, that’s a normal trophy. It’s the 100% sync for the other million small and irritating missions that grate. Not to mention you have to trek to specific points to get your next batch of missions, and the fast travel is rudimentary. There were a lot of just basic assassinations which were tolerable but the races were evil, especially with guards chucking rocks at you while you climb. All of that pales in comparison to the miscellaneous trophies. Harlequins you have to beat up that are in specific places on the map with zero hints (basically required cheating using a map) and the barracks arena were the worst.

Good game, a trophy list that overstays its welcome.

Well done everyone on their recent plats.

My recent one...Immortals of Aveum.
Pretty good game, a solid 7/10.
Fairly easy plat 4/10, there is a difficulty trophy which you can do on NG or NG+, I took the NG option which meant some fights did go on a bit.
Just under 25 hours to complete but a guide is needed for the collectibles and there are missable trophies but nothing too bad plus there is a very helpful forum topic on psnprofiles which covers the missables in a simple and concise manner.

Brilliant game, slightly dated now but still one of my favourite series (mostly).

Good list, requires you to engage with absolutely everything the game offers.
