@johncalmc: check out the band, Feathers. They're a great electronic/80's synthpop all girl outfit from Texas and supported Depeche Mode on tour.
I bought their debut album after hearing their song 'Dark Matter' on GTAV. I loved it.
@ApostateMage: I've not heard this band before, but listening to them they sound a lot like Marsheaux, which is a good thing since I like them very much. Thanks!
So far the album of the summer and year is The Avalanches. I did not think it was possible to top Since I left you which I loved in 2000 but the long wait has been worth it for Wildflower. The samples they use and vocals is so well put together highly reccomended.

@johncalmc: I'm not sure if this is up your alley exactly, but regardless it's one of my favorite bands at the moment:
ICE CHOIR: "Unprepared":
For everyone else...I'd post the other bands I like, but I think I'm too far off the mark to relate to y'all. I'm talkin' MAGRUDERGRIND, TRAP THEM, DEAFHEAVEN, NOTHING, EAGULLS, SUBURBAN LIVING, etc.
@Speedy67: some good choices of band you've got there! Love Mars Volta/At The Drive In, FNM etc etc. As for DJ Format, Statement of Intent is awesome; have you heard his Psych Out compilation? Well worth a go.
As is the case with most people, my tastes vary wildly. Currently enjoying Mitski, Perfume Genius, MF Doom, Dirty Projectors, Why?, Kiasmos, Julia Holter... I could go on.
@Mergatro1d: Cool we share some tastes! Mars Volta is my joint favourite band with Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Relationship of Command is incredible by At the Drive In. I've only been getting into Faith No More recently though to be honest. I love The Real Thing, at least. DJ Format are real cool, but again I've only recently got into them. I'll try out that Psych Out thing at some point.

@Speedy67: mate you must check out Mr Bungle if you like the chillies and FNM. They were mike patton's band pre FNM. Also check out other patton projects- the man's a genius. Tomahawk, Fantomas, peeping tom and loads more. Happy listening!
@TripleGK: I'm one of those weirdos that likes bits of everything. I like pop, electro, folk, hardcore punk, jazz, good old fashioned Norwegian black metal, noise, whatever. I have all kinds of different playlists set-up on Spotify and I just keep making more.
Currently I'm listening to a lot of shoegaze. Mostly early '90s stuff but some modern bands too.
@TripleGK: In terms of K-Pop, for the past couple of years I mostly only listen to BIGBANG. There are way too many boy and girl bands in the K-Pop music industry nowadays. On top of that, the majority of them lip-sync during their live performances on the weekly music programs and that bugs the hell out of me.:/
Atm, I'm trying to see if one of the local music stores here can import Utada Hikaru's latest album for me.
That's cool. Did they performed any concerts in the UK during any of their past world tours? I'd actually introduced BIGBANG to one of my PSN friends a few years ago. She liked their songs so much so that she actually went to one of their concerts (Alive Tour if I'm not mistaken) when they were in the US.
I mainly am still listening to J-Pop songs but mostly singers from the 80's and 90s whenever they have new single or albums out.
Can anyone tell me the name of the popular Spanish (I bloody hope it is) tune that's played a bit at the moment? I tried to sing it to Shazam; ended badly.
