Update: Pre-orders are now open for Astro Bot on the PS Store and at retail, with the MSRP for the standard edition being £59.99/$59.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition being £69.99/$69.99. This is cheaper than most tentpole PS5 exclusives.
Original Article: Everyone knows that you don’t trifle with FromSoftware faithfuls on social media – especially not Bloodborne fans. This subtle troll from Sony is sure to elicit the odd frenzy, then, as the Digital Deluxe Edition of Team ASOBI’s adorable platformer Astro Bot includes early access to the Yharnam Hunter outfit for the eponymous hero. Pre-orders will also come with early access to the PaRappa Lovestruck Lyricist costume and Glorious Graffiti DualSense Speeder skin.
If you do cough up extra for the aforementioned Digital Deluxe Edition, you’ll also get a Golden outfit for Astro, two more DualSense Speeder skins, an official soundtrack and digital artbook, and 12 PSN avatars, each featuring the protagonist cosplaying as a famous PlayStation character. It’s all charming stuff.
At the time of writing, pre-orders haven’t opened, so we’re still waiting for official pricing information around the world. But the indications coming out of Australia suggest this will be slightly lower-priced than most tentpole PS5 exclusives – and worth every penny, we’re sure.

Well, I suppose it's good they didn't forget!
"Bot Borne should hold off the ravenous fans."
~Sony's last words~
A little wink to the audience me thinks 😉
They should release that graffiti DualSense for real.
"Put it on PC but take the Sony out of it!!"
@ATaco Yeah, THAT would be a classic Mimbo Jimbo move. Thank god he retired.
If it releases physical I’ll buy it
@Mikey856 It will be available physically and you get a free double-sided poster if you buy that version!
Man I really want the digital deluxe bonuses but at the same time i want the physical version😭
@get2sammyb I would buy it in a heartbeat. I can’t believe Sony still hasn’t copied the Xbox designer lab for their controllers they would make a killing if people could make their own bespoke dualsense’s
Sony knows what it's doing (for this at least), they know the demand for Bloodborne so I'm sure they have something in the cards. Bluepoint could possibly be involved that's why I'm dying to know what that studio is up to.
Will buy, but zero reason to pre-order or pay more for the digital deluxe when all of the costumes and Dual Speeder colors are just early unlocks and already included in the game.
The official sound track so "my name is astrobot" can be stuck in your head forever.
Will get it physical & can't wait. Obviously the game is what I want but the soundtrack if as good as previous entries will be awesome too, not so bothered about avatars, hardly ever change mine!
Wait a minute, why isn’t the Glorious Graffiti and Neon Dream a real thing?(without the wings of course). I want that Glorious Graffiti but I would settle for a Neon Dream. And why are we releasing these games lately without Steelbooks? I want premium product physically! I’m still a collector! A Yharnam Hunter Astro Bot statue is a huge missed opportunity as well.
@get2sammyb Agreed, I'd buy that neon dream controller in a heartbeat as well.
But is it 60FPS!?!
Lol I don't think this is Sony trolling but more like Team Asobi remember all Japan Studio games and wants to put them in Astro Bot as a reference.
@PuppetMaster Yeah, usage of the word troll is disingenuous here. I suppose you could say Sony would be trolling us if they added MotorStorm or Motor Toon Grand Prix, since they aren't exactly getting any love from Sony either!
@Mikey856 I just pre ordered from amazon on physical. It's got the placeholder price of 59.99 but there's rumblings it will be lower on release. You only pay when it's dispatched so if it does change, you won't be charged the 60. If it doesn't, you're free to cancel it if you want to wait for a sale 👍
@Weebleman awesome man thanks for the tip. I shall follow suite
Thanks to Sammy B too !
Welp I know which costume I'm using for this game. That hunter outfit looks awesome!
Digital pre orders are live £59.99 standard £69.99 digital deluxe
@Mikey856 anytime man.
@get2sammyb whoever got to decide this is an incredible troll 🧌 and deserves a raise 👏 🙌
THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!!!!😭😭😭😭😭
You can get a physical copy for £54.85, had a feeling it would be cheaper than the bigger titles like Rise of the Ronin and Spiderman 2 etc but didn't expect it to be £40 like some people were hoping for. Although I think £49.99 would have been the sweet spot, some parents or casuals may be put off by the price now.
Cool...I just want to be able to pre-order the physical version at some point today...looking at you Amazon!
Typing in Astro Bot PS5 only brings up the PSVR Game on PS4.
That 60$ price is better than I expected. 70 for the DD version. Not bad. Not bad.
Launch game PS6
£60 and $60? Why isn't it equal?
This is good news.
@CutchuSlow It's crazy how UK consumers get shafted every time like this by Sony
I would buy anyone of those controllers if they were real.
I’ve pre-ordered as love this game and supporting the devs is important in todays climate.
Better than nothing I suppose! (Just)
Well, that's a very easy pre-order. I have full faith in Team Asobi and I'm voting with my wallet for this game because I want MORE!
@TedLassoNikes Not just UK customers, its €70 in EU aswell. Only US gets it cheaper everytime.
@BeerIsAwesome I really dislike misleading and click bait headline. But talk about Motorstorm or Motor Toon Grand Prix, man, i would love if Sony remaster these games.
