The Episode Aigis expansion for Persona 3 Reload now has a confirmed 10th September release date. The DLC, which is locked behind the Persona 3 Reload 'Expansion Pass', has you take on the role of SEES' robotic ally in a post-game story.
But if this is an accurate recreation of The Answer — the additional adventure from the original Persona 3 FES — then the narrative will take something of a backseat in favour of intense dungeon crawling. You can watch the above trailer for a glimpse of said gameplay.

Ah yes £28.99 for something that should have been in the main game anyway 🤦.
I can't wait for Metaphor Re Fantazio but remembering how Atlus deals with extra content has me worried.
@UltimateOtaku91 Atlus in a nutshell these days.
Incredible games, garbage business practices.
Bet the difficulty will still be high
Another game to buy when the 'complete edition' comes along.
If I remember correctly the DLC is free on Gamepass right? Something to consider.
@ATaco If you have an Xbox then yeah I see no reason why you wouldn't be playing it there, but for playstation players we have no choice than to play to Atlus's ridiculous business decisions or miss out.
@shogunRok @UltimateOtaku91
My memory may be a little foggy, but didnt the Atlus dev say in an interview that The Aegis Dlc was developed alongside the main game but it ended up being scrapped, and then later revivied ?
if thats the case, then it isnt content that was held hostage just to be sold later to make extra money.
Anyways the fault isnt atlus, but players who dont know any better and still buy games day 1, knowing later down the line these games end up getting complete edtions.
you know Atlus track record already.
The Answer is honestly one of the most superfluous pieces of additional content of all time (In my opinion of course). It's not like the additional content in Persona 5 Royal, which is probably Atlus' best go at this practice in their history.
These practices suck, but in my eyes, unless this content has received wholesale gameplay and story improvements, I find it to be completely inessential.
@ArcadeHeroes You remember right: https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2024/03/persona-3-reloads-episode-aigis-dlc-was-dropped-from-the-base-game-due-to-development-difficulties
"Episode Aigis, the paid expansion that's coming to Persona 3 Reload in September, was originally going to be included in the remake itself. This is according to a Famitsu interview with producer Kazuhisa Wada (as translated by Persona Central), who explains that development cycle difficulties forced the team to abandon its ambitions."
And that's fair enough if it's true, but like you say, Atlus' track record speaks for itself with DLCs and re-releases, etc. It's hard not to by cynical sometimes.
Still, doesn't change the fact that this is effectively a £30 expansion because it's locked behind a DLC pass. I can see why some people are complaining.
@__Seraph I'm glad someone said it. At best, The Answer is some pretty good Persona 3 dungeon crawling that adds a bit more depth to some specific characters.
At worst it's basically bad fan fiction that slaps an unnecessary epilogue on a game that already has a fantastic, memorable ending.
If Episode Aigis is just a straight remake of The Answer with no narrative adjustments, I definitely wouldn't consider it to be essential.
@ShogunRok 100% Agreed. I'm not one of these guys who says it's total trash, it has its plus points for sure.
The main thing for me is what you say about it being unnecessary, Persona 3 has probably the best ending in the franchise, I was extremely happy where they left the story, I don't need everything hastily explained and spelled out afterward. I liked the end of P3 so much, i nearly didn't even play it.
And by god, it certainly isn't worth £30.
Yeah I don't know man. Kind of done with Atlus. Their games are getting super homogenous to me and all this money grubbing is gross.
I'll be avoiding this until a heavy sale or a complete edition. Metaphor comes out like the month after so Atlus can get my money eventually.
@ArcadeHeroes I'm not buying that story though, apparently it was meant to be included in the main game but had to leave it out due to their development cycle, so as it was meant to be included with the game then it should be free and included in an update, not something to purchase and download off the store.
I'll wait until the dlc comes around then i'll get the base game already have the expansion pass on xbox.
I don’t even know if I’m even going to buy and play this… even though I platinumed P3R, I kinda already moved on from it.
This should have been a day one thing
Thanks Atlus. I'll stick with my FES edition.
What kind of game is this, exactly?
@UltimateOtaku91 one reason for me to buy it on PS5, its more fun on PS Portal
I am huge fan but I am not paying for it. They already tried with the other dlc.
