@KratosMD: Spiderman 2 is an awesome game all around, I can even count how many hours I logged on that game on the Gamecube. It's definitely one of the best Superhero games ever.

Back to the Xbox Project Gotham is a great series it's one of those that I wish they would make a new entry in the series but with Bizarre gone I don't see that happening.

Some of my favorites games on the OG Box are

Crimson Skies — Great if you like games like Star Fox.
Soul Caliber II — Yes it's multiplatform but if you don't have it it's a good choice.
Dungeon and Dragons Heroes — Great if you like dungeon crawlers like Diablo
Knight of the Old Republic — Both one and two are must haves.

If I think of some more I will post them.

@KratosMD Try and get hold of Black, that is an excellent game. Great gameplay and superb graphics (for the time) although it will pose a bit of a challenge and the checkpoint system is a little unforgiving.

@KratosMD: Yes KotOR was indeed made by Bioware. In fact it uses the same engine as Jade Empire so if you like Jade Empire's gameplay then you will enjoy KotOR.

@KratosMD: Knights of the old republic is the best Bioware game and best original xbox game. @Tasuki has that recommend on the head.

Also as @Vincent294: Mentions Jet set radio future is also a must own.

A game no ones mentioned is Ninja Gaiden - NG2 and NG3 are terrible in comparison, NG1 does so much right, and proved to difficult to follow. I still have a copy here at home. But be warned, it is very very hard.

The racers (pgr2) and fps games (halo) have all been surpassed in the last 3 generations and its hard to go back as they look alot worse than you remember.

My used copy of Front Mission Evolved (360) arrived in the mail today (haven't yet had the chance to open it).

I haven't played a mech game like this before (where you can customise your own), and I chose this one because while it's apparently rough around the edges, it has more of a single player mode than similar games on the system, and can be pretty fun if you just want some mecha action.

@KratosMD: Yep Driveclub reminded me alot of the PGR series. PGR has.always been one of my favorite series starting back on the Dreamcast with Metropolis Street Racer. As for Jade Empire feeling like Mass Effect that's cause they used the same engine pretty much. KotOR, Jade Empire and Mass Effect all have the same game play.

@DarkmarkUnited Doom is much quicker than Halo and a lot more closed in. Same sort of thing, run around and shoot stuff. Not sure about COD as I haven't played one since MW3.

A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...

Alright kids, my girlfriend has just moved into my house and before she got with me and I set her on the right path, she was an Xbox gamer. As per the rules of the house, her Xbox 360 is now mine, but I don't know what to do with it.

I've just bought Dark Souls (my PS3 died before I had a chance to get to it) and the Gears of War trilogy. What's great on Xbox 360 that I missed out on?

P.S. I don't care about driving games.

@johncalmc Halo 4 and, the best of the whole series (in my opinion) Reach, Crackdown, Red Dead Redemption (not sure if that was multi format), XCOM, Tomb Raider, Borderlands, Enslaved, Civilization Revolution, The Darkness 2, Max Payne 3. These are just some of the highlights that I can see off my own achievements list, I hope this helps?

Thanks a bunch, people.

Halo seemed like one I might do. I've played it before and I didn't really get it at all, but I might give it a proper go again. And then if I like it I guess I'll have to get the old version of Halo 2. I can't imagine I'll be getting an Xbox One any time soon.

Alan Wake is definitely one I'll be looking at though. I've been told to play that so many times. Now is as good a time as any.

Finished up Front Mission Evolved earlier tonight.

Gameplay wise it's a little tanky (intentionally), but once you get the hang of it it's pretty fun, and everything has a nice powerful oomph to it (especially the combat). There's the occasional on rail section (shooting at enemies while being carried by a transport ship), or on foot section (which take the form of an unremarkable, though completely functional, cover shooter), to keep gameplay fresh. Camera can be a bit of an issue (mostly in the tropical island missions, due to foliage), but it's a minor annoyance. Oh, you can upgrade your mech as well. Some missions require you to use a specific setup, but you can usually somewhat set it up to your preferences.

Story is clichéd & the voice acting is flat, but I didn't mind it.

Graphically the mechs look great, and I actually thought most of the environments looked good (though there were a few times not so much), but the people looked like they were made of plastic, and there was some screen tearing in the cutscenes.

Overall it was a decently fun game. Not the best game ever, but if you really like sci-fi or mechs, it's worth a look (it's very inexpensive to get).

@KratosMD, they did release a Halo 2 Anniversary for 360 as well (so only 5 is the only entry not playable on the system)

@johncalmc, I too would recommend Halo (though I've only played CE Anniversary at this point) & Red Dead Redemption. I'd also recommend Zone of the Enders HD Collection (futuristic mech action games made by Hideo Kojima, of Metal Gear Solid fame), and Tales of Vesperia (one of my favorite JRPGs of all time).

@RR529: Halo 2 is backwards compatible on the 360 though so you can get an Xbox disc and play it that way. It might also be on the XBL store.

Ah, my mistake then. I thought I saw it on Amazon (for 360) when I bought CE Anniversary.
