IO Interactive has announced the latest Elusive Target to stalk and eventually kill in Hitman is none other than the MMA fighter Conor McGregor. Known as The Disruptor in-game, you can choose to hunt him down as an Elusive Target from today until 29th July 2024. You can play the mission for free as part of the Hitman: World of Assassination collection, or you can simply download the Starter Pack without charge and experience it through that launcher. The trailer above will provide a taste of what to expect.

The setup is that Quantum Leap CEO Tim Quinn has invited McGregor to an MMA fight on the island of Sgàil. However, keeping the company's best interests at heart, stakeholders have tasked Agent 47 with eliminating Conor McGregor before he even sets foot in the ring. The mission features the likeness and voicework of McGregor, both of which are highlighted in footage released by IO Interactive.

Hakan Abrak, the CEO of IO Interactive, said: "Players are really going to enjoy this new mission which blends the best of HITMAN World of Assassination with the raw charisma and energy of one of the most successful athletes in the world. I’m excited to see our players diving it this new mission and enjoying what the team has created." Conor McGregor then added: "The age of the Disruptor is here! I had a lot of fun creating the character and bringing him to life. I can’t wait for players to try to take him down — Agent 47 is in for the fight of his life!"

Alongside the free Elusive Target, a separate DLC pack is available for £3.99 / $4.99 that includes new contracts, items, and cosmetics like McGregor's fur coat.
