What are Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC release times? When can you start playing the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion? FromSoftware is primed to expand on its 2022 Game of the Year candidate with a major DLC that bundles in a new area, more story, and extra boss fights. In this Elden Ring guide, we're going to reveal the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC release times and answer the question: when can you start playing the expansion?
For further coverage, check out our Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree PS5 review. Awarding the DLC an 8/10, we concluded: "By doubling down on what made the base game so sublime, FromSoftware has crafted an Elden Ring expansion that's just as great as it is familiar. Shadow of the Erdtree delivers more of the same style of content you loved two years ago rather than introducing new ways to engage." Am level 270 on Journey 2 so not sure if that's good or bad for this DLC? Either way really psyched.
I'm hoping PS Stars will be back up so I can redeem my points for some store credit to use against this, but it is not looking that good.
@Silenos You are good to go, as I've heard the recommended level is at least 150.
@Silenos I think I’m about 210 and was a little concerned about being over leveled but I’m still getting my ass kicked by basic enemies and side bosses sometimes so I think I’m gonna need all the help I can get lol
@Logonogo haha same here!
I am level 420 and I still get whacked by bosses and certain enemies. Darn rune Bears and that nasty bear in Caelid outside the river well.
@JohnnyShoulder 150 is the recommended level!? Yikes, I’m level 128. I’ve beaten the game and Mogh to access the DLC, but jeez that’s intimidating. Hope there’s some ways to power level early in the DLC. Farming xp in Farum Azula gets a bit tedious, but it seems like the safest spot. Maybe it’s time I actually aim to beat Melania.
@somnambulance I'm level 188, so hopefully should be OK. Normal enemies I'm managing OK with, but there are 3 Ulcerated Tree Spirits all bunched together in the Ashen Capital who are destroying me lol. I've got the item though, so don't really need to face em again. Those little albino dudes outside Mogh's place are good for farming.
