Sony has today announced a new line of collectible PlayStation figurines based on some of its most popular franchises, like Horizon, God of War, and Ghost of Tsushima. Collectively, they create The Shapes Collection from Spin Master, and are designed to be affordable. The first is a six-inch figure of Aloy from Horizon Forbidden West; pre-orders are live now at PlayStation Gear with a view to shipping in mid-August. It costs £48 / $50.
You will be able to customise Aloy with 12 accessories like face paint and different head and hand configurations. Also available to pre-order now and shipping in September are figures for God of War protagonists Kratos and Atreus, Ghost of Tsushima lead Jin Sakai, and Varl from Horizon. All four of these figurines cost £28.80 / $29.99 each. You can view them through this link.
Speaking to the two Horizon figures, lead character artist at Guerrilla Games Arno Schmitz explained they're "based on the actual digital sculpts used for the game, something you can really see in the final result. We made sure the many articulation points made sense and even the finest textural detail shows up on the figures." Revealing you can even customise Aloy's hair, Schmitz calls them "very poseable" figurines thanks to the techniques used that maintained the "likeness of actual models".
Jason Connell, the creative director at Ghost of Tsushima studio Sucker Punch Productions, added: "We’re excited to have a new action figure version of Jin that fans can keep on their shelf to protect their home. Jin’s Ghost armor has so many beautiful details, including intricate fabric patterns and overlapping armor plates that are integral to the design of his character. In addition to his katana, it’s also always important to us to see all of his various Ghost tools represented to capture his different fighting techniques."

Let's hope we see an Astro Bot wave later this year.. 🙏
They said in their company showcase they wanted to expand with merchandise and they sure are doing it, if Horizon Adventures works they can make more lego sets and now this.
If the figures don't have crossed eyes I won't care how "affordable" they are, they look cool.
These will be perfect for my gaming room.. (when I build it), love em
Bring back the plushies from about 5 years ago.
They were the best and better value for money at the time.
I see the USA gear store has plushies Astro bot and aloy etc.
sod all for us Europeans in our gear store.
not loving the war paint on Aloy but all of the other ones are cool. I probably won't get them I have enough junk cluttering my desk but 10 years ago I would have been all over this kind of thing
When I read the title I thought it was Jin Kazama and wondered what he had to do with Sony.
I LOVE THEM!!!! Definitely want to get Aloy and Jin putting in a request for Bloodborne Hunter, Sly, Yuna and Seyka to get figures please ^__^🙏
Kind of cool but only Jin looks cool enough to display to me.
My 6 year old is desperate for an astro bot figure
Aloy is oddly expensive, but I dig Jin and Kratos.
I'd be more interested in decent models/figures of the Horizon beasts more so than the human characters.
A Varl figure lmao
Jin looks good, but wow.. the other two.. they look like plastic cheap toys you can get in some kind of flea market for 2 dollars lmao
@rusty82 get him an iDog
Pretty decent looking for that price but kratos looks likes he's wearing a comedy stick on beard 🤣
I agree with most on here. These look OK but not great. Jin does look the best. The price is fairly low so I can see how some of their details may not be there. But the GoW ones look like 1970's Kenner Star Wars 4" action figures.
I have Kratos and Atreus from the GoW collector's edition and that looks like a work of art compared to this plastic mess
I have an Aloy statue so I am good. Might get Varl though.
N.i.c.e. kratos the g.o.a.t. 🐐 👑.word up son
Are you kidding? A Varl figure but no Erend? He could have had an attachable stein.
It's nice that they are so cheap. I know they won't likely be as good as some of the more expensive ones, as I know this won't be able to touch the phenomenal Aloy statue I bought from PlayStation Gear last year on sale. They still look good for the money though. I'm surprised they didn't do this sooner.
@MikeOrator How very dare you, the original starwars figures are my prized possessions... and they're 3 3/4"...😛
Well the price is pretty cheap so don't expect the quality will be as good as Figma, Playarts, Mcfarlene, or any figures with expensive price lol.
I personally prefer cute figures like Nendoroid. So i'll pass this one.
Very nice 👌 That Aloy in particular looks pretty incredible. Also nice to see Jin in the line. To my knowledge the only figure he's had is the Figma and that's gone way up in price over the years. I'm curious to see how deep the line will go.
I hope those reach EU.
I've moved around so much in my life that I have very few material things anymore, but I would have loved these in my teens/20's. The Jin one is especially cool.
Nice they look amazing.
Really hoping for Sly, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Ape Escape and Sir Daniel figures.
Nice reasonable price for them
@ATaco I agree and that might be because we can't see the whole figure, the proportions look a bit off in the others.
@nomither6 I'll Google it. Never heard of it
@rusty82 oh i was just kidding! The idog is pretty old and was used back in the mid 2000's to pair with an ipod. I brought it up because astro bot reminds me of them , haha
@Deljo “I bent my Wookiee!”
@Deljo
As they are for me, but action figures have come a long way. I did not mean to offend ...
