Where Are All Collectibles in Cooling Springs in Astro's Playroom?
In total, there are 9 Artefacts and 16 Puzzle Pieces for you to collect in Cooling Springs. As part of our Astro's Playroom guide, we're going to show you the exact location of all collectibles in Cooling Springs, in the order that you'll discover them.
Bot Beach
There are 2 Artefacts and 4 Puzzle Pieces to collect in Bot Beach.
Artefact #1: SIXAXIS Controller
On the small island to the left of the main beach area, beneath a golden palm tree, pull the exposed electrical wires to unlock the SIXAXIS Controller Artefact.
Artefact #2: PS Eye Camera
To the right of the main area, navigate the floating wooden crates and pull on the exposed electrical wires to grab the PS Eye Camera Artefact.
Bot Beach Puzzle Piece #1
North of Artefact #1, you'll find this Puzzle Piece hidden behind a structural pillar. Just run behind it to grab it.
Bot Beach Puzzle Piece #2
Opposite the door with the sand storm, there's a wooden crate in the centre of the main beach area. Enter the alcove for the Puzzle Piece.
Bot Beach Puzzle Piece #3
On the right side of the main beach area, walk out across the pier and hop onto a wooden platform. Tug the three exposed electrical wires to make the Puzzle Piece appear.
Bot Beach Puzzle Piece #4
On the main beach area, jump on top of the beach umbrellas and bounce up in the air until you're able to grab the Puzzle Piece.
Springy Spa
There are 2 Artefacts and 4 Puzzle Pieces to collect in Springy Spa.
Springy Spa Puzzle Piece #1
Immediately after you get the frog suit, jump to your left through the glass window to discover a secret area with a Puzzle Piece.
Springy Spa Puzzle Piece #2
When you bounce left and right between the different platforms shortly after the beginning of the level, you'll spot the Puzzle Piece in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Springy Spa Puzzle Piece #3
Shortly after you ride the lily-pad up the stage, jump to your right through some glass and you'll find a secret area with a Puzzle Piece nestled among some coins.
Springy Spa Puzzle Piece #4
Follow the critical path of the level, and this Puzzle Piece is pretty much unmissable, as you hop between some pipes.
Artefact #1: PS Move Sharp Shooter
Shortly after you break through a glass bridge, jump to your left through a glass window where there's a DualShock sculpture made out of sand. Go inside the box and jump out for the Artefact: the PS Move Sharp Shooter.
Artefact #2: PS Move Shooting Attachment
In the area where the Astro Bots are playing Dude Raider, head to your right and navigate the moving platforms for another Artefact: the PS Move Shooting Attachment.
Frigid Floes
There are 2 Artefacts and 4 Puzzle Pieces to collect in Frigid Floes.
Frigid Floes Puzzle Piece #1
Once you go outside for the first time, there's an igloo to your left. Smash the corner where the Astro Bot is working to create a new pathway to a Puzzle Piece.
Artefact #1: PS Move Navigation Controller
To the right of the igloo, there's a hanging crate that you can hit with a glass projectile. Pick it up and throw it to knock down a new platform. Then glide-jump across to the island and pull on the three exposed electrical cables to reveal a fourth. Tug on that to get the Artefact: the PS Move Navigation Controller.
Artefact #2: PS3 Game Disc
When you're on the ice bridge, you can hop across some PlayStation-shaped icebergs to a new island off to the left. Pull up two buried Astro Bots to reveal a third exposed electrical cable. Tug on this for the PS3 Game Disc Artefact.
Frigid Floes Puzzle Piece #2
After the checkpoint, there's an ice bridge that slopes down and then back up again. Jump down to the lower platform on your right and run to the end. There's an alcove with a Puzzle Piece inside.
Frigid Floes Puzzle Piece #3
Once you head inside after the previous section, you'll see two collapsing ice platforms. Climb up them and get the Puzzle Piece at the end. It's hard to miss.
Frigid Floes Puzzle Piece #4
When you ride the floating iceberg, after blowing to make it move, you'll need to jump onto a second iceberg before a waterfall. The Puzzle Piece is unmissable here.
Hotel Hopalot
There are 3 Artefacts and 4 Puzzle Pieces to collect in Hotel Hopalot.
Hotel Hopalot Puzzle Piece #1
At the very beginning of the level, head to your left to raise some platforms. You'll find the Puzzle Piece at the top.
Hotel Hopalot Puzzle Piece #2
When you ride the lily pad, there's a big coin on a small platform you can collect. Stand on this platform and then jump on the one to its right. The Puzzle Piece is nearby.
Hotel Hopalot Puzzle Piece #3
After you smash through the glass cubes, the Puzzle Piece is pretty unmissable at the top.
Artefact #1: PSP UMD
After the section with all the beach balls, when you ride a lily pad up the level, go to your right to a freezer area. Push the switch and a gold crate will appear with the PSP UMD Artefact inside.
Artefact #2: PlayStation Portable
When you've successfully navigated a corridor populated with spikes, you'll reach a checkpoint. Jump over the switch to your left and into a secret room. Ride the rotating square to a gold crate with the PlayStation Portable Artefact inside.
Hotel Hopalot Puzzle Piece #4
Shortly after this area, once you've ridden the lily pad up into the next part of the level, the Puzzle Piece is hard to miss on your left.
Artefact #3: PlayStation 3
You can't miss this one, simply complete the Hotel Hopalot level to unlock the PlayStation 3 Artefact at the end.
